I was really young when 24 (2001-2010) began and I haven't had the time to binge watch the entire series, so when I heard about 24: Legacy being an entirely different story line, I was excited to see how it would play out. 24:Legacy isn't a follow up of the original series, it's more like a spin off with Kiefer Sutherland as an executive producer. Corey Hawkings (Straight Outta Compton) stars as Eric Carter, a former Army Ranger who is trying to settle into civilian life with his wife, Nicole. A secret military operation which he was part of gets exposed and he is almost murdered. Members of his squad and their families are murdered by the henchmen of Ibrahim Bin-Khalid, one of the men they murdered years ago.

The head of the Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU), Rebecca Ingram (Miranda Otto) is about to hand over to a new person, Keith Mullins, when she finds out about the threat from Bin-Khalid's men. She can't just walk away from it, she wants to solve the problem before leaving because she doesn't trust anyone to do the job right. The show runners were smart to have sort of a fresh start with 24:Legacy which makes it easier to welcome new audience like me,

Although I must admit, there's really nothing new about the story line. A former soldier trying to live a normal life gets dragged into chaos after a group of people find out about one of his operations, so he has to go on the run and find a way to stop whatever the group plans to do which in most cases involves exposing a list of people or killing a number of people. Even with the not-so-fresh plot, 24:Legacy is something I would like to watch and I recommend you watch if you're a fan of Action thrillers. I can't wait to find out who the mole is, probably someone we'd never expect. 24:Legacy airs every Monday on Fox.
