Marvel's Inhumans Season Finale-"...And Finally: Black Bolt"

Marvel's Inhumans is finally over! After Maximus's (Iwan Rheon) coup in the first episode, the members of the royal family were scattered all over Earth. They finally reunited and teleported back to Attilan to stop Maximus. He had always resented his brother Black Bolt (Anson Mounth) and the fact that he didn't have any powers made the situation worse. Maximus revealed his plan which included leading Attilan into a war with Earth and when Black Bolt is about to kill him, he tells him that if he dies, the protective dome surrounding Attilan would fall. After so much hullabaloo, the citizens of Attilan are led to Earth by the members of the Royal family to start a new life. Although, Black Bolt doesn't go with everyone claiming he had to take care of his brother before leaving. He finds out that Maximus manipulated him into killing their parents by faking a royal decree saying Black Bolt needed to be lobotomized. When the young Black Bolt goes to ask his parents "why", they're killed by the power of his voice. Instead of killing Maximus, Black Bolt takes him to the secure bunker and locks him inside. He uses his voice to say goodbye and the powerful effect destroys the outer wall and locks Maximus inside forever. He leaves Attilan and joins his family and the rest of the citizens somewhere on Earth. The end.

I'll be lying if I said I wasn't glad that Marvel's Inhumans was finally over. This show was such a waste of resources and TV time and I actually feel bad for the actors that starred in this snooze fest. I struggled seriously with watching and somewhere in the back of my mind, I felt like it would get better or maybe the finale would be action packed, but nothing. It was pure disappointment from beginning to end. They kept talking about Black Bolt's powerful voice but we never really got to see how powerful it was. I got so confused with the weird names and I was never interested in finding out who was who. The actors did a good job with what they were given but the story lacked depth. This is one show that is going to be forgotten swiftly and judging from the ratings and reviews, there's no hope for a second season. This goes to say that every comic story doesn't need an adaptation.
