Saying Goodbye

I always get really emotional when a TV show comes to an end and a lot of my favorite shows have ended or gotten cancelled (sigh). For some reason I get so sad when i watch the finale of shows.
Recently I had to sit through the finale of the Good Wife and I fought back tears and anger. That show just made me feel some type of way, (in a very good way) I had feelings of anger, happiness (for Alicia Florrick) and sadness. One of my favorite shows was coming to an end!! It wasn't a good feeling at all.

But I was so happy cause the Good Wife has been a fan favorite from the first season in 2009 and the critics loved it until the end. I'm definitely going to miss the characters especially Eli Gold, Louis Canning and Elsbeth Tascioni. If I had my way I would make Robert and Michelle King (the creators of the show) continue for at least 5 more seasons cause I doubt I'll ever get tired of watching.

Another show I had to say goodbye to was Person of Interest. This show has been a personal favorite of mine ever since it came out and it maintained very good reviews all through. The finale made me tear up a little mostly because of the fact that two major characters (Root and John Reese) died, even though it was for a good cause, I just felt so bad. Overall, the finale was good and "The Machine" survived.

In Beauty and the Beast, Catherine Chandler (Beauty) and Vincent Keller (The Beast) finally had a happy ending after they ran away from New York City to France and I couldn't be more happy for them,  (even though In my head I was like why didn't they just run away before instead of suffering for 4 years) they were finally done with running from all the beast hunters and Murfield agents.

This show has been a fan favorite from the beginning but the critics were not really in love with it. Thank God it had a happy ending and didn't get cancelled like Castle, Devious Maids and Tyrant.
The FX show Tyrant (set in a fictional Middle Eastern country) was a show that was so different from any show I'd seen on TV and to be honest I still can't get over the fact that it was canceled with a cliffhanger leaving everyone thinking of what was going to happen to Bassam, his son Sammy, Daliyah, the war and the 'terrorist' Ihab Rashid. I still felt like they shouldn't have killed off the character Jamal (played by Ashraf Barhom) His character brought so much life to the show.

Tyrant is definitely going to be missed, though I still pray another network (Amazon or Netflix) picks it up for a 4th and final season.
Lifetime channel broke my heart when it cancelled Devious Maids, this Soap Opera/Comedy/Drama was a favorite to a lot of people and I definitely didn't see the cancellation coming.

I can't say the same for Castle which took a really terrible turn during the 7th season and made me lose interest in it. I used to have that The Mentalist vibe with Castle but it disappeared during that season after Detective Kate Becket broke up with Richard Castle. This story line didn't make any sense to me and it just turned me off. I wish they just ended the show in that season instead of coming up with story lines that made a lot of people irritated. Anyways, I'll still miss Richard Castle and the detectives at the 12th Precinct.

Saying goodbye to TV shows can be a really hard task for me and I always hope that my favorite shows don't get cancelled abruptly cause it's always a sad feeling, they all deserve happy endings.    x
