Slow Country is an Action movie starring Ivie Okujaye as Kome, a single mother who gets trapped in the world of drug trafficking and prostitution. After 7 years of working for Tuvi (Sambasa Nzeribe), she decides to quit and live a better life but isn't able to because of the threat on her life by Tuvi. She crosses  paths with her son's father Osas (Tope Tedela) after losing contact 7 years ago and together try to stop Tuvi and his thugs.

Thumbs up to Nollywood for producing a good action movie which didn't seem as fake as the others. The gun shots looked and sounded real, the explosions seemed real and the blood also looked real. Although, I had a problem with the cinematography which was extremely dull and looked like it was produced in the early 2000s. Maybe it was lack of funds or they were trying to make it look a certain way but it didn't work out. The plot wasn't something so spectacular, because you could predict the end 15 minutes into the movie so don't go into the theater expecting to be blown away by a fantastic story. I'm a fan of Sambasa Nzeribe but I'm note sure how I feel about his role as Tuvi which won him and Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award for "Best Actor In a Drama". He seemed like he was counting his words sometimes and the gangster act looked too fake. Brutus Richard's Brasko even played a better gangster than him.

I think we need to talk about the use of the F word in Nollywood movies. It sounds weird and feels like they are doing too much. I wish Majid Michel had a more serious role instead of being a supporting actor. I don't think he was seen in up to ten scenes. Although Slow country wasn't as good as good as I thought it would be, it was a good movie.
