Sully is a biographical drama based on US Airways flight 1549 which had an emergency landing on January 15,2009 by Captain Chelsey Sullenberger on the Hudson River. Barely three minutes into the flight, the two engines failed after being hit by a flock of birds. To be honest, i never knew about this story until I saw the movie. I had goosebumps while watching it, realizing that it was a true story of how 155 people escaped death.
Tom hanks portrayed Captain Chelsey Sullenberger while Aaron Eckhart played Co-Pilot Jeff Skiles
Sully experiences PTSD after the landing of the plane in the Hudson coupled with the investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board who were against the fact that both plane engines failed mid air. They eventually concluded that Captain Sullenberger saved the lives of all 155 passengers and crew and dubbed him a hero.

The Clint Eastwood movie is based on Sullenberger's autobiography "Highest Duty", filmed in New York City and shot with IMAX cameras, Sully had very good reviews with an approval rating of 75% on Metacritc. Despite the compelling lead performance by Tom Hanks, the movie couldn't run away from the accusations of how accurate it was to the real story. The review of Captain Sullenberger and his Co-Pilot by the National Transportation Safety Board was said to have been exaggerated. But this cannot come as a shock as we all know how Hollywood exaggerates true life stories to sell it to the audience. A few movies like Spotlight and Concussion have also been questioned about their accuracy just like Sully. In the end, the movie did a great job at telling a great story about a hero even though a few parts were exaggerated, I honestly enjoyed watching it.
