When the trailer for "Marvel's The Defenders" was released, I was a bit excited but after painfully watching 8 episodes of the Netflix Miniseries, I'm just pissed they created the show. The Defenders follows Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) as they come together to save New York City. It felt more like a continuation of Daredevil & Iron Fist and maybe It would have been better if it had an entirely different story. I'm just glad it was 8 episodes and not 13 because I don't know how I would have been able to finish. I actually wish they made it into 3 or 4 episodes because 8 episodes felt like 24. There was nothing scary about the villains and they were just plain & boring. I hated the first season of Iron Fist to the point where I just kept laughing at how ridiculous the story and plot holes were. I'm pretty sure whoever wrote Iron Fist had a lot to do with the direction of The Defenders. They took too much from the Iron Fist story line and this didn't sit well for a lot of people because almost everyone hated Iron Fist. I'm still searching for that one person that can tell me something they liked about it.

The Defenders felt rushed, it was as badly written as Iron Fist and after a few hours of watching, it starts getting predictable. These four superheroes are supposed to be very powerful and they did very little with their skills, especially Luke Cage, who in my opinion is the strongest. All they kept talking about was Danny and his Chi. The dialogues are clich� and annoying, the character development is very poor and there are so many questionable scenes.
-If The Hand really wanted to kill The Defenders, why not just shoot all of them and cut off Luke Cage's head? They had opportunities to do this.
-Are they trying to say, Elektra can beat Luke Cage? Why didn't they just let him fight her instead of Daredevil?
- In the final scene, why did Daredevil stay in the hole with Elektra? He knew there were bombs all over the building, so why not just carry her out when she was knocked out?
-Why and how were they kissing when the entire building was crumbling? This was the most ridiculous scene.
- Why didn't they inform the police about the situation so they could all make a plan and attack The Hand?
Now I'm wondering, are these four Marvel TV shows bad because of terrible scripts or terrible acting? I honestly think these actors are doing their best with the terrible material they're given. Among these four shows, the only one I can actually say I have no problem watching, is Luke Cage, I struggle with the others. If you're still interested in watching, here's what to expect- The Defenders come together to fight The Hand, they hide, The Hand finds them, they escape and hide again, they blow up a building, the end. I kid you not, this show is terrible and I suggest you skip it or just watch the last episode.
