As a huge fan of Robert & Michelle King's "The Good Wife", I couldn't help but fall in love with this spin off. A lot of stuff went down during the first season and the finale was a bit chaotic. In "Chaos", Dylan Stack (Jason Biggs), a technology lawyer who had previously appeared in a 2012 episode of The Good Wife comes to Diane for help claiming he was about to be framed for cyber terrorism. Lucca takes the code in a flash to her ex lover, Colin (Justin Bartha) who works at the Department of Justice who then gives the flash to Dincon who inserts it in a computer.

Things start going wrong from here. They arrest Lucca as an accessory but eventually let her go when Stack gets caught red handed as the culprit. Diane and Kurt decide to give their relationship another try after Kurt gets involved in a carjacking that leads him to the hospital. Diane almost passes out thinking he died and she realizes that she really loves him and isn't over him. When she rushes to the hospital, there's a call back to Will Gardner's death with the guy on the bed with one shoe missing. Goosebumps all over again. She ends up spending the night at his place, we all know what that means. *Inserts winking emoji*.

Meanwhile, Maia's father is planning an escape from Chicago and possibly the US when he gets information that Maia will get sentenced to jail for five years for Perjury. It's either he takes the 35 years deal or they both go to jail. He agrees to take this deal but still flees which leads to Maia's arrest at the end of the episode. It was an almost perfect episode but there were a few glitches. Why did Dincon insert the flash drive into the computer instead of taking it to the IT department to go through, but I guess this needed to happen for the rest of the story to come together. I hope Lucca and Colin work out whatever issue they have because they really fit as a couple and have the perfect amount of chemistry. I loved Maia's court scene where she definitely let Dincon have it! Way to go Maia!! She's really becoming a badass lawyer.

I also want to see more of Barbara in the next season, not just in court and having conversations with Adrian (Delroy Lindo), I think her character has a lot of potential and maybe we should see more about her personal life. This first season has been very strong and I hope they get better next season with more character development especially for Barbara and maybe Adrian.

I'm still waiting for a cameo from Alicia Florrick, which I hope would take place in the next season. For the fans of The Good Wife, that cameo would mean everything! I ship Lucca and Maia's friendship and I'm sure Lucca is going to come for her rescue with full force next season. I had no doubts about The Good Fight, it has definitely lived up to its predecessor and I'm sure it'll get better next season.
