In the year 2029, the X men have disbanded and the mutant population is almost extinct. Logan is older and has aged greatly because the adamantium in his body is now poisoning him and he no longer has healing factors. He's now a chauffeur and takes care of the old and sick Professor X with the mutant, Caliban. One day Logan is approached by a nurse, Gabriella, (Elizabeth Rodriguez) to take 11 year old  Laura to a place called Eden in North Dakota. He takes the job reluctantly but finds Gabriella dead the next morning. Logan, Laura and Professor X are almost killed by the same agents who killed Gabriella and Caliban is captured. They find out that mutant children are being bred by Transigen and Gabriella helped several children escape. Laura was bred with Logan's DNA so they have the same abilities. After so many obstacles, Laura and Logan get to Eden. All the kids are there waiting for Laura and they take care of Logan by tending to his wounds. Rictor, who runs camp, gives Logan a serum to restore his healing powers. The children plan on going across the Canadian border. Xander Rice, head of the  Transigen project, Donald Pierce, Transigen's Security Chief and his Reavers, go after the kids. When Logan sees this, he injects the serum into his system and it makes him super strong and hyper.

He kills most of the Reavers and and shoots Rice so Pierce releases X-24, who is a younger Wolverine clone, on Logan. X-24 and Logan fight, the kids use their powers to kill Pierce. X-24 almost kills Logan but Laura shoots him in the head with an adamantium bullet. Before Logan dies, he tells Laura not to be the weapon she was made to be. Laura and the children mourn his death and bury him, but before leaving, Laura changes the cross into an X before continuing her journey across the border.

 Logan is no doubt one of the best Marvel movies yet and Hugh Jackman portrayed the character so well, no one can portray Wolverine like him. Nothing in this movie is forced, it flows from the beginning to the end. There is necessary character development making you get emotional when any of these characters are put in harms way. The action and violence is not over the top although I had to look away sometimes when Logan and Laura sunk their claws into a lot of people. It was quite gruesome. For a second, I forgot it was a comic book movie. Logan follows in Deadpool's footsteps by being R Rated and there's enough violence to make you cringe.

 This isn't your everyday superhero film, it's filled with emotion and it's no doubt one of Hugh Jackman's best performances till date. The final scene where the kids get to use their powers was very cool to watch. The movie was well written and very different from any superhero film I've seen. After 17 years, Hugh Jackman has hung his claws as Wolverine. Logan is a great movie and you should do yourself a favor and see it.
