After the success of 30 Days in Atlanta starring Ramsey Noah, AY brings us another comedy starring the hilarious Funke Akindele. A Trip to Jamaica is about Akpos (AY) and his girlfriend Bola (Funke Akindele) and their trip to the US and Jamaica. Akpos and Bola visit Bola's sister Abigail (Nse Ikpe-Etim) and her husband Michael (Dan Davis) in their very big mansion in the US. They are all taken on a trip to Jamaica by Michael only to get involved in his criminal life. The movie stars Ghanian actor Chris Attoh, Hollywood actor Eric Roberts (The Expendables) and former Miss Jamaica and winner of rapper The Game's reality show "She's Got Game", Rebecca Silvera. The movie also includes a cameo from the Nigerian artists Olamide, Patoranking and Cynthia Morgan.
Bola (Funke Akindele) & Akpos (AY) |
The cast didn't disappoint especially Funke whose sentences could make your stomach ache with laughter. AY was funny but lets be honest, we've heard all these jokes before about Warri and how "they don't carry last". In my opinion, Funke stole the show.

I recommend this movie for a day when all you want to do is let loose and laugh till tears roll down your cheeks. I genuinely enjoyed watching and I look forward to more adventures from Akpos.
