Spiderman:Homecoming (2017)

Going into the theater, I knew Homecoming was going to be really good and what I watched matched my expectations. Tom Holland replaces Andrew Garfield as the new Spiderman who is trying to balance his life as a high school student and a superhero. After fighting with the Avengers, Peter goes back to his life as a student but he wants to prove to himself and to his mentor Tony Stark/Iron Man that he can fight more dangerous crimes instead of just being the friendly neighborhood superhero. He comes in contact with The Vulture (Michael Keaton) and he looks for every means necessary to bring him and his organization down.
This new film takes us back to when Spiderman was just a regular innocent and naive teenager.

To be honest I was a bit skeptical about Tom Holland playing the iconic superhero, but he delivered on every level. He was born for this role. Michael Keaton is such an amazing actor, he played his role as the villain Vulture so well even though I kind of wished he was more evil than he was. This course worked well because it was Keaton playing the role of the villain. I doubt it would have been better with another actor. Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man was awesome as usual. We see just enough of him to make the film more interesting and not look like he's taking the spotlight away from Holland. The action scenes and the CGI were amazing, but I didn't expect anything less from a Marvel movie.

The way this film was written makes it stand out from every other Spiderman movie. It's different, but in a good way and I enjoyed watching from the first scene till the credits rolled. The humor, which I think was one of the best things about this film wasn't forced in any way by the characters. I loved everything about this film and I definitely can't wait to see the next one. Stop reading and go see it now if you're yet to.
